The Library at Mount Char
By Scott Hawkins
MARCH 2016

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Since Adoption Day, Father has raised his children to be more than Americans… they were Librarians. Just, not the way you might expect.

Strictly forbidden to discuss their lessons, each child was assigned their own catalogue in the Library to master, from languages to necromancy.

When a strange force is keeping she and her siblings out of Garrison Oaks, Carolyn must reach deep within herself to find the courage and the cleverness to make a plan for what she will do next.

Perhaps, when she does this, she will gain a greater understanding of Father than she could have ever known before.

This modern fable is a unique and unexpected blend of fantasy and reality with a whole lotta heart. I truly never knew what would happen next. Heartwarming and original.
