The Last Days of Jack Sparks
By Jason Arnopp
APRIL 2017

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Jack Sparks has died. His brother Alistair Sparks is publishing his last book, an irreverent exposé on the supernatural, post-mortem.

Arrogant and troubled, Jack Sparks has become famous for his extreme journalism, having previously published books on gang life and drug use.

The conversational style of storytelling frequently splinters off into side tangents and diversions, sometimes funny, often distracting.

This story runs through the whole spectrum of emotions. Brutal and intense, dark and sinisterly suspenseful, it genuinely terrified me. Then other witty one-liners actually got me laughing.

A super fun read for fans of supernatural horror who enjoy their bone-chilling fear served with a side of a good laugh.
