Eight Cases of Jane
By R.J. Powell

Jane Murphy was the alleged killer of eight men between October 1995 and January 1996. In this found-footage style splatter-punk horror novella, we’re given an account of an interview between Jane and Dr. Harold Lippens, who has been hired by the Hollygrove Police Department to assess her.
I found the concept of this story intriguing but the execution fell short for me. With such an interesting concept to explore, this story feels unfinished and left an overall lackluster impression on me. I would love to see this story fleshed out more because I do think it has potential, but regret to say that it unfortunately left me underwhelmed.
