As a child, Natsuki learned magic, aided by her guide and companion, a hedgehog named Piyyut from the Planet Popinpobopia. Much like Natsuki, her cousin, Yuu, has always felt like an outsider.

Over time, Natsuki comes to believe that she is an alien and identifies traditional social norms and values as a type of brainwashing other Earthlings fall susceptible to under the imposing Factory.

There’s little to say about this story without giving anything away, but if you’re a fan of bizarre, creative – and thoroughly fucked up – literature, this one’s probably for you. This book is weird and impossible to put down.
