Carmen Valdez has gone off the grid. The Cuban-American writer who co-created “The Legendary Lynx”, a comic book character that has been long forgotten by all but the most diehard fans, has never been given credit for her work. Inspired by the Lynx since her youth, Annie Bustamante sets off on a mission to revive the character and unveil its true origins, but the stakes are proving deadly.

It could be because I’m not a comic book fan, but I really struggled with this one. As much as I tried to get into this book, I couldn’t. I couldn’t stand the main character and couldn’t understand why a defunct comic book company would want to kill over keeping the rights to a forgotten and seemingly irrelevant comic book character. This one just irked me.
